TeXtreme® Spread Tow carbon reinforcements are using spread tows to produce optimized reinforcements for ultra light composites.
Spreading tows (yarns) into very thin tapes enables reinforcements in woven structure as well as unidirectional tapes with mechanical performance and possibility for weight savings that are unique compared to conventional reinforcements.

The Spread Tow UD tapes produced are much thinner than conventional carbon fiber tapes and have more material packed in the same area which gives better mechanical performance.

These Spread Tow tapes are then used as they are as local reinforcements etc. or used to weave the novel TeXtreme® Spread Tow fabrics.

The patented TeXtreme® Spread Tow fabrics are then used by companies manufacturing composite products found in: bicycles, Formula 1, NASCAR, surfing, golf shafts, ice hockey, aerospace, industrial and Americas Cup.
